What to expect
The leaves whisper in each other’s ears and the flowers dream for the earth, the wind carries their voices to oblivion. Now we are the ones who want to keep their whispers on paper and cloth.
In these two workshops, we experience together how to record a corner of nature on fabric and paper so that they are not forgotten. We’ll be exploring the craft of printing with natural materials gathered from the forest and fields around us using two different techniques.
In the first workshop we will experience a technique based on pounding the plant colors into the fabric. The second workshop will explore the relatively new eco-printing technique developed by India Flint where plant pigments and chemicals are released onto dyed fabric though a boiling process.
