VISUALIA
In 2024 VISUALIA artists-in-residence will present their work at INTO THE WOODS festival, 18–21st of July. 3 + 3 artists with Tomas Larsson (SE), Merle Karp (FI/EE) and Leo Pahta (FI) having spent 3 weeks in Glommen in april–may, and Erik Natanael (SE), Hara Alonso (ES) and Murilo Polese (BR) who are doing a micro-residency during the week of the festival.
Expect sound, light and audiovisual shenanigans with installations that bridge the beautiful forest and surrounding of Unnaryd with the curiosity of its inhabitants, humans and animals alike. Bird raves, magic wells, ephemeral cubes, microscopic gazing, bespoke and hand crafted instruments, along with field recordings and atmospherical sonic explorations. We got it all.
Visualia artist residency and this year’s collaboration has been made possible by our friends at INTO THE WOODS and Region Halland. Thank you for your support. It’s a blessing being able to introduce so many to the woods of Halland.
Thank you also Bengt Johansson who has welcomed all artists into his home in Glommen, and Rose Hallgren who is supporting this project through her kindness, ambition and eye for details.
